So - it's been a year. Oops.

This wouldn't be a proper journal unless I had forgotten to write for about a year. Done and Done. :) Now we can move on and I will post more... maybe. I will try.

Smart Crazy Kids

Sometimes when things get a little quiet I grab the camera to see what's going on. This is what I found last week. Ellie had managed to put her dress completely on Holly and I am SO glad Holly is a mello dog. There was no barking/growling during the dressing and undressing. Holly's legs were even through the arm holes. It took a little bit of time to get her twisted out of this one.

We have also found William doing this - putting together his 50 states puzzle. It is a wooden puzzle and he likes to take all the pieces around the house and place them together without the wooden base. He is a crazy smart boy. Quinn said he saw him the other day start with Tennessee and I have seen him starting to put it together upside down. Crazy smart I say. :)

Gardening on the Balcony

Last summer we had a little garden on our balcony. We have an open backyard and have some rambunctious kids in the building so gardening in the back wasn't an option. We had some sweet basil plants  (that really turned into bushes), cilantro, oregano, thyme, marjoram, parsley, strawberries and cherry tomatoes. The strawberries didn't really do well but our tomatoes were amazing! The plant guaranteed 100 cherry tomatoes - we passed that in the first month!

This summer we are trying again - with a few different plants. We have cherry tomatoes again, hoping they do as well as last year. Basil, of course. Our herb box - with lemon thyme, sage, garlic chives and oregano.

We also have pole beans, yellow squash and cucumbers.

They have already grown so much! We have strung up rope to help train them to grow up!

And on the end we have our very shaded "America" Box with red, white and blue flowers.

In a month - I'll give you an update so you can see how fast everything grows!

Hate Mail...

So - several of you have complained for months about the lack of posts and it is getting quite ugly. :)

In order to preserve friendships - I will try, I repeat TRY, to post again. However - this blog is cleaning house as well. If you actually ready this blog - let me know. If not, I need to take names off the list. I have people to add and no room! :)

While I figure out what to write about next - feel free to check out this cuteness. This is our newest addition. Holly (short for Happy Holliday - cheesy I know) is a awesome black lab. Here she is 3 months old and in tissue heaven.

A New POST!

Um... you caught us red handed...
It's true. We haven't blogged in a while but we have a perfectly logical explanation. Let's start where we left off. Starting with the fact that William hates clothes.

End of January
William loves puzzles. The puzzles in this picture were in pieces in a big heap. William put them back together.

February
William totally rocked his Valentine's Day Shirt. Ellie had fun learning how to play games on our Nintendo. (Yes, that is ExciteBike.) AND it is the Year of the Graffiti. Nothing is safe - including William's basketball hoop.

March
Ellie's Birthday! She had a PJ Pizza Party, got showered with princess gifts from family and friends, and we gave her her own set of roller skates. No idea where she got the idea she needed them, but she loves them. We are still working on being steady.

April and May?
Right after we took the picture of Ellie in her Princess gear, we hid the camera from William behind a pillow. BUT the camera slipped behind the bed and got pushed under by a few boxes. We just found it tonight. I'm sorry. I'll try to update soon... and take plenty more pictures.

Sunday Chuckles

Ellie was being rowdy today during the passing of the Sacrament. Quinn said to her "Do you remember why we take the Sacrament?" Ellie replied "Yes. So that we don't starve."

Later at home, Ellie and Quinn had this conversation while looking for a movie to watch.
"I want to watch Martha Stewart."
"Ellie we don't have any Martha Stewart videos."
She pointed to a DVD and said "Who's this?"
"That's Stuart Little."
"Oh yeah. I want to watch that."

Can you tell where mommy watches videos on the computer?

Emergency Preparedness

Today we practiced our wards Emergency Plan. We had a pretend earthquake and called people to make sure they were okay. The best part for the kids was getting to eat doughnuts after.
